Jose Torres grew up in Northeast Philadelphia, where he discovered his love of dance and dance training while attending after-school dance programs at his neighborhood elementary and middle schools. He attended Franklin Learning Center High School as a dance major. While enrolled at FLC, he trained at The Pointe! Dance Studio and performed in their junior company. He is furthering his education as a junior at the University of the Arts School of Dance and performs with Philadelphia’s Chocolate Ballerina Company
